🇪🇺 Mobility of Youth Workers — ESC Quest

Quality, Understanding, Evaluation & Support in Youth Work

The ESC Quest – Quality, Understanding, Evaluation, Support, Trust project was a learning mobility initiative for youth workers, implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, supporting the professional development and capacity building of youth workers across Europe.

The project took place from 01/01/2021 to 30/11/2022 in Belgrade, Serbia, and focused on strengthening the quality, impact and sustainability of youth work through transnational learning and collaboration.

Learning mobility projects of youth workers aim to support professionals working with young people by enabling them to acquire new skills, practical tools and international experience, while fostering cooperation, trust and shared understanding across countries.

Activities within such projects may include training courses, seminars, study visits, contact-making events and job-shadowing experiences, contributing to the continuous improvement of youth work practices at local, national and European level.

My Participation

It was a pleasure and an honour for me to participate in the ESC Quest learning mobility project as a youth worker and social entrepreneur, engaging in an international learning process focused on quality development, evaluation and trust-based approaches in youth work.

Through my participation, I actively engaged in training activities and peer exchange, contributing to discussions and shared practices that support the professional growth of youth workers and the creation of inclusive, supportive environments for young people.

This experience strengthened my understanding of how structured learning mobility can empower youth workers to respond more effectively to the evolving needs of young people, while reinforcing collaboration and mutual learning at a European level.

🌍 Project Focus & European Impact

The ESC Quest project contributed to the broader objectives of Erasmus+, which aims to:

  • Boost skills, employability and professional development

  • Support youth workers through high-quality learning experiences

  • Promote social inclusion, participation and well-being of young people

  • Strengthen youth work practices and youth policy at local, national and international level

By participating in this project, I deepened my engagement with European youth work values, reinforcing the importance of learning mobility as a tool for professional empowerment, quality assurance and long-term impact in the youth sector.
